April 1, 2006- An Alarm of Fire was transmitted for Box 143, 14 E Parmenter St at 1928 hrs. Upon arrival companies found a 2 story wood vacant wood frame heavily involved with extension to the "B" exposure at 16 E Parmenter St. A second alarm was transmitted bringing in Engine 10 and Truck 10, with a special call for an Engine from New Windsor and a Truck from Cornwall.
Due to the heavy amount of fire at the fire building crews took a defensive operation. Companies stretched in to 1exposure building to control extension. Truck 1, and Truck 10 opened roof of exposure building. Fire damage confined to 2nd, 3rd, and cockloft. Fire building heavily damaged with partial collapse in the rear. Companies took up at 2308 hrs.
