November 21, 2006- Companies received a box alarm for Box 274- N Miller St. and South St. While enroute companies were advised dispatch was receiving calls for a structure fire at 191 South St. Upon arrival companies found heavy fire issuing from the 2nd floor windows and a Second alarm was immediately transmitted. This brought in Engine 10, Truck 10, and Middle Hope with an Engine, and Stewart Air Guard FD FAST. Engine companies stretched to the second floor and began extinguishment, but were unable to contain the fire. The fire spread to the 3rd floor, and eventually to the cockloft. Crews were removed from the building due to heavy volume of fire. Fire was knocked down using master streams. The companies re-entered the building to perform overhaul. Partial collapse of the 3rd floor caused the removal of companies once again. 1 Firefighter was injured and treated at St Luke’s Hospital. Companies took up at 1940 hrs.
