November 15th, 2006- Companies received a street box alarm for Box 245- Liberty St. and Clinton St at 1312 hrs. Enroute companies were advised that dispatch was receiving calls for a structure fire at 85 Clinton St and 360 Liberty St. Upon arrival companies found a 2 story ordinary warehouse, approx 90' x 110' with heavy black smoke showing. Car 4 immediately called for a second alarm brining in Engine 10, and Truck 10. Both Engine 1 and 3 stretched multiple 2 1/2 lines to extinguish heavy fire on the second floor. A third alarm was transmitted brining in Engine 11, all off duty personnel, Goodwill with an Engine, Cornwall with a Truck, and Stewart Air Guard as a FAST team.
Cornwall's Truck, Truck 1, and Truck 10 set up Ladder pipe operations while Engine 1 and 3 put their deck guns to work. The FAST team was put to work. All master streams were put to work and flowed for several hours. Both north and south walls of the building collapsed. 2 Firefighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at St Luke’s Hospital. Companies took up at 1956 hrs.
