June 24, 2007- An Alarm of Fire was transmitted for Box 311, 222 Broadway at 2110 hrs. Upon arrival Companies found fire in the top floor of a 40' X 60' 3 story ordinary SRO. Upon arrival of Car 4 a second alarm was transmitted brining in Engine 10 and Truck 10.

Engine 1 stretched an 1 3/4" line to the 3rd floor. Truck 1 forced entry to and searched all the single room occupancies on the fire floor, Engine 3 forced entry to and searched all the single room ocupancies on the 2nd floor.The fire was believed to be started by an emotionally desterbed person who believed someone was out to get him. He was stabbed by a resident of the building in retaliation for starting the fire. He was taken to St Lukes Hospital by Mobile Life Support.The fire was extinguished and Companies took up at 0036 hrs.
