April 22, 2007- Engine Co 3 was dispatched to a possible brush fire in the rear of a building in the area of 1st St and West St.
Upon arrival Engine 3 found a Two-Story Ordinary OMD heavily involved on the “C” side at 42 West St. and immediately requested a 5/8 assignment.
Shortly after the arrival of Car 4 called for a 2nd Alarm brining in Engine 10, Truck 10, Stewart Air Guard FD FAST team, and Middle Hope
.
Companies found heavy fire in the 1st floor apartment witch originated in the enclosed wooded porch on the “C” side of the building. Companies also found extension in the wooden window frames of the second floor of side “C” as well as the wooden cornice. (3) 1 ¾” and a 2 ½” line were used to control the fire.
