July 24, 2007- Engine 1 and Marine 1 were dispatched to a call on the Hudson River, leaving the city covered only by Engine 3 and Truck 1. Shortly after an Alarm of Fire was transmitted for Box 441, 73 Robinson Ave at 2115 hrs. Upon arrival Companies found a 2 1/2 story wood frame with heavy fire on the 2nd floor venting out of the windows with extension into the attic. Upon arrival of Car 4 a second alarm was transmitted bringing in Engine 10, Good Will with and Engine, and Stewart FD with their FAST team.
Engine 3 stretched an 1 3/4" line to the fire floor. Good Will Stretched an additional 1 3/4" line off of Engine 3's rig to back up the company. Truck 1 first made entry to the building, conducted a primary search, and then vented the roof. Engine 1 returned from the river and assisted. The fire was extinguished and Companies took up at 0124 hrs.
