February 25, 2008- An Alarm of Fire was transmitted for Box 248, 2 Central Ave at 0141. Upon arrival companies found a 2 story wood frame heavily charged with smoke. Upon further investigation Truck 1 found a room and contents fire in the basement of the structure. Engine 1 stretched a 1 3/4" line through the interior stairs and extinguished the fire. Truck 1 vented the basement while Engine 3 assisted Engine 1. The fire was quickly extinguished and Companies took up at 0335 hrs.
