June 27, 2008- An Alarm of Fire was transmitted for Box 184 at 79 Williams St at 0235hrs. Upon arrival companies found a 60’x50’ 3 story ordinary OMD with fire venting from the rear second floor apartment. A 15 year old girl was trapped by fire in the rear bedroom; she jumped from the rear window prior to fire department arrival. She was taken to St Luke’s Hospital by Mobile Life.

Truck 1 gained entry and began primary search on the fire floor. Engine 1 stretched 1 ¾ line and began extinguishment. Engine 3 stretched a back up 1 ¾ line. A second alarm was transmitted at 0238 hrs bringing in Engine 10, Truck 10, and Vails Gate’s FAST. Goodwill and Cornwall provided coverage. Fire was extinguished and companies took up at 0539hrs
