January 9th, 2008- At the regular monthly meeting of Local 589 members were presented with a flag by US Marine CPL Seth Roach in appreciation of our contributions to the members of his unit. Early last year members took up a collection and sent care packaged over to CPL Roach's unit in Iraq.

The flag that was presented flew over USMC Camp Fallujiah, Iraq on Monday May 21, 2007. The Certificate of Authenticity is signed by Cpl Seth Roach, and Major Eric L Dixon. The flag and certificate will be hung in the firehouse with great appreciation for the men and women protecting our freedom in the armed forces.
